आज दिनांक 8 अप्रैल, 2024 को डोरंडा कॉलेज के सभागार में विक्रम संवत नववर्ष के प्रारंभ के उपलक्ष में आईo क्यू o एo सीo एवम संस्कृत विभाग ने संयुक्त रूप से विशेष व्याख्यान का आयोजन किया l इस आयोजन के मुख्य वक्ता श्री एस. पुजारी रहे तथा विषय “भारतीय कालपद्धति- एक गणना” था । उन्होंने विक्रम संवत्सर के नव वर्ष 2081 की शुरुआत के ऐतिहासिक महत्व को रेखांकित किया। साथ ही बताया कि किस तरह भारतीय ज्ञान प्रमाण में विभिन्न युगों महायुगों की गणना कि वैज्ञानिक पद्धति विकसित थी। अतः हमें ग्रेगॅरियन कैलेंडर की जगह भारतीय काल गणना को अधिक महत्व देना चाहिए। महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉक्टर राजकुमार शर्मा ने हम भारतीयों के ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा के विरासत पर मुख्य रूप से जोर डाला। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत कार्यक्रम की स्मृति पाठ एवं दीप प्रज्वलन के साथ हुई तत्पश्चात डॉ मंजू लाल ने विशिष्ट अतिथियों एवं प्रधानाध्यापक के साथ सभागार में मौजूद शिक्षकों और विद्यार्थियों का स्वागत करते हुए विषय का परिचय दिया l संस्कृत विभाग अध्यक्ष डॉक्टर निमिषा ने विषय वस्तु के ऐतिहासिक महत्व को रेखांकित किया। आखिर में धन्यवाद ज्ञापन प्रोफेसर इंचार्ज डॉक्टर रजनी टोप्पो ने दिया। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 50 शिक्षक एवं विद्यार्थी मौजूद थे।

The idea of starting a University at Lucknow was first mooted by Raja Sir Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, Khan Bahadur, K.C.I.E. of Mahmudabad, who contributed an article to the columns of “The Pioneer” urging the foundation of a University at Lucknow.
